For nine long years, Crown Prince Harald and the commoner Sonja Haraldsen fight for the right to marry, but the choice is not theirs to make. The constitution states that a prince cannot marry without the king’s permission. If Harald chooses a wife without royal blood, the Norwegian monarchy risks collapsing.
