Biography

Artie Brennan is an award winning actor and comedian from NYC. He is also a prolific writer/director and his film "The Chat" won Best Short Film at The NY EMMY® AWARDS He studied drama at NYU, trained theatrically at Iona University, and further developed his craft with Joanna Beckson at her private studio. Artie honed his improv & sketch comedy skills at The Second City and The Upright Citizen's Brigade under founders Matt Walsh and Ian Roberts. Artie is a versatile actor whose career has spanned across film, television, and stage. His lead role as a young dad trying to navigate a new world for his son in the Factory 25 produced “Dad Day” landed him on the cover of the NY Post and IndieWire. Artie is the co-creator and co-star of "The Super Crazy Funtime Show," a TimeOut NY and NY1 critic's pick. The Off-Broadway show was the first live indoor event to open in NYC after the pandemic and was nominated for 6 Off-Broadway Awards by Broadway World. He was also nominated for his role in the Off-Broadway show "With A Little Help...It's John Belushi".. "Artie Brennan brought Steve Beshekas and Brian Doyle Murray skillfully to life"-Times Square Chronicles As a writer/director, Artie’s films have won several awards, including a NY EMMY® AWARD, the Audience Choice Award at the Hip Hop Film Festival, Alternative Film Festival, and LA Comedy Film Festival.
