Biography

Remco Wouter Campert (The Hague, July 28, 1929 – Amsterdam, July 4, 2022) was a Dutch poet, columnist, and writer of short stories and novels. He was part of the literary movement of the Vijftigers. In 1976, he won the P.C. Hooft Prize for his poetry, and in 2015, the Prize for Dutch Literature for his literary oeuvre.
